Stop-Loss Aggregate Coverage limits the employer's exposure on a total claim basis. Coverage can include medical, dental, prescription drug and short-term disability benefits. Once the company's total claims reach the cap, the policy reimburses excess expenses. Maximum benefits are normally provided at $1 million/year, but higher levels may be secured.
